น้ำโซดาหมาก

Origin

Mango soda drink was developed in the 1980s by convenience stores in central Thailand, especially in Nakhon Pathom and Samut Sakhon provinces. These shops combined mango-flavored chewing gum with carbonated soda and fresh mango juice to create a novel, youthful taste that appealed strongly to teenagers.

Characteristics and Flavor

The drink features a golden-yellow hue with a slight orange tint, fine and stable bubbles, and a rich aroma blending fresh mango with sweet chewing gum. It delivers a sweet-tart flavor with a subtle salty note, along with a creamy mouthfeel as the chewing gum dissolves in the mouth.

Ingredients

  • Fresh mango juice
  • Carbonated soda
  • Granulated sugar
  • Mango-flavored chewing gum (or mango extract)
  • Ice cubes as needed

How to Serve

Add fresh mango juice and sugar to a glass, followed by ice cubes. Slowly pour in the carbonated soda, then drop in a piece of mango-flavored chewing gum. Gently stir before drinking. For the best flavor experience, consume immediately.
